Thank you for your patience as we have been working diligently on a regathering plan for the future. This is something that has been decided upon with much prayer and discussion. Please open the attached document (“Regathering Plan 8_7_2020”) to see the specifics of the plan. We will be adhering to this plan strictly so that we can keep our elderly, pregnant, and immune-compromised individuals safe. We understand that we all have opinions on the virus, however, we should all want to do what we can to keep others in our church safe.
Also attached is a COVID-19 waiver that everyone in the church will need to sign (either electronically or on paper). This is a requirement from our insurance company for entering the buildings. You can either download the attachment below or sign the form virtually. One of these will have to be on file (you only have to sign it once). If you forget it, we will have extra copies on Sunday, August 16th. Here is the link:
These are very simple steps in helping us regather safely. After reading the church surveys it is clear that the majority of the church wants to reopen in a slow, safe manner. We have been following the recommendations from the NC Department of Health and Human Services (see “Interim Guidance for Places of Worship and Religious Services, May 22, 2020”) and feel like if we follow these protocols our facilities will be safe. They will also be cleaned and sanitized between every service.
If you feel that you do not want to comply with these policies, we encourage your continued participation in our online YouTube and Facebook services. We hope that over the course of time we can ease these restrictions and eventually one day get back to normal. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
